The SAARC Film Festival is one of the most successful programmes conducted by the SAARC Cultural Centre and is being held for the 9th consecutive year in 2019. Since the Inaugural SAARC Film Festival in 2011, the SAARC Member State of Sri Lanka has hosted this diverse celebration of cinematic creations and the development and display of visual arts through the medium of film.
The SAARC Cultural Centre will continue the tradition of bringing wider recognition for South Asian films through the SAARC Film Festival 2019 which will be held from 2nd to 7th of July 2019 at the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka.
This year the Festival will include a workshop with international experts from the world of film, which would further enhance the ability to experience South Asian Cinema.
