Today I am going to take you all, around Gregory lake – Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Located in the middle of the Nuwara Eliya city, is the famous Gregory Lake attracting millions of tourists every year during the summer festival ( Wasantha Udana in Sinhalese). This is April, the time of the festivities in Nuwara Eliya. However, this year, the festivities are on a low key due to COVID-19.
Now, I am at the Gregory Lake. You can see a large crowd of people moving around the lake despite the fears of corona virus. Some are protected with facemasks. Others have simply forgotten their masks in their festive mood. No matter what time of the year,
Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful place to see and enjoy. Most tourists from the Europe never miss a visit to Nuwara Eliya. Some call it “Little England”.
